On successful commissioning in Army, candidates are given the rank of Lieutenant. In Navy, candidates are given the rank of Sub Lieutenant. In Air Force, candidates are given the rank of Flying Officer. The starting NDA salary of an Officer is INR 56,100. This is the stipend offered to the candidates during the training period and the minimum salary that a Lieutenant gets. It keeps on increasing as per the level of the post.

There are multiple allowances offered to the Officers along with NDA salary such as Uniform Allowance, Dearness and Transport Allowance, Para Reserve Allowance, Technical Allowance, Children Education Allowance, Hostel Subsidy, High Altitude Allowance, etc. The Army Aviators (Pilots) in Lt and above in Level 10 and above serving in the Army Aviation Corps are entitled to flying allowance of INR 25,000 (R1H1 of Risk and Hardship Matrix). .

The SSC CHSL admit card 2025 for Tier 1 exam has been released. The Commission released the SSC CHSL admit card download link on November 9, 2025. Yes, UPSC allows candidates to take NDA question paper home. NDA exam is conducted in two shifts-afternoon and forenoon. Candidates can carry their question papers of Maths and GAT to their homes. However, UPSC also released NDA question papers online on its official website. The question papers are released online in PDF form. Aspirants can download the question papers and start preparing for the exam.

The total marks allotted to NDA written exam are 900. The GAT paper carries 600 marks and Maths paper carries 300 marks. Yes, there is a sectional cutoff in NDA written exam. Candidates need to secure 25 per cent in each subject to qualify the exam. Besides, candidates are also required to secure the overall cut off marks prescribed for Army, Navy and Air Force.

A total of 120 questions are asked in the Maths paper of NDA. Questions are usually asked from Algebra Matrices and Determinants Trigonometry Analytical Geometry Of Two and Three Dimensions, Differential Calculus, Integral Calculus, and Differential Equations Vector Algebra Statistics and Probability. In the GAT part of the NDA exam, a total of 150 questions are asked. This section is divided into parts. Part A comprises questions from English and Part B comprises questions from General Knowledge. NDA exam carries two papers-Maths and GAT of Class 10, 11 & 12 levels. The GAT paper is further divided into two parts-English and General Awareness.
