The admission at Guru Kashi University (GKU) under the various branches of engineering or B.Tech is through the entrance examination of JEE. On the basis of JEE examination the merit list is created and from those students who apply for the Guru Kashi University - GKU students get selected. But the total number of students that the university admits is around 980-1000 each year in various branches. There are 60 seats approx each in different B.Tech branches.

Candidates who wish to take admission must get atleast 50% in class 12th. The CUET scores depends on various courses. The cut-off is not so high in Guru Kashi University - GKU. Also GATE  is required for ME or M.Tech admissions.
