CAT syllabus is more of 9th and 10th mathematics and english vocabulary ( questions are like jumbled sentences, punctuation, missing words). B.Tech is more of technical subjects. Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning are also there in CAT syllabus.

Your chances of getting a call from IIMs are not that good, but if you score good marks like more than 99 percentile then you can get a call but in PI, you need to give a valid reason regarding your gap of 2 years.

If you score more than 99 percentile then you can get a call from IIM and if you have a job experience of more than 2 years and you are scoring more than 97 percentile then you can get calls from only New IIMs.

If you want to study in IIT then you have to quantify JEE Mains and JEE advance for undergraduate B.Tech courses and GATE exam for M.Tech courses. If you want to study in IIM then you have to clear CAT exam with good marks.

If you want to do MBA from IIM or IIT, you need to complete your graduation and than you need to give CAT exam and need to score more than 97 percentile in CAT than only you can get chance yo get admission in IIM or IIT.

You can opt for Full time One year MBA programme from any IIMs. It has more or less equal weighted value in corporate.

Both IIT and IIM are different. You cannot appear for IIT exams without maths. Also IIM is for management course which can be taken by the student of any stream.
