IIT Mandi offers admission to BTech is based on JEE Main exam score. To get admission candidates are required to apply on the offlicial website of JEE Main. The NTA will release the JEE Main application form 2025 tentatively in November. The exact JEE Main 2025 registration date will be notified soon. As the JEE Mains 2025 exam will be conducted in two sessions, NTA will release separate application forms for both January and April session.

Candidates seeking admission to IIT Mandi BSc are required to meet the minimum eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed the Class 12 examination with a minimum of 75% aggregate in the Science stream can apply for admission to the BSc programme offered at IIT Mandi.

Candidates who have qualified for the award of a three/ four-year bachelor's degree (BA, BSc, BTech or equivalent), after Class 12 or equivalent schooling, from a recognised university or institute with at least 55% aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA on a scale 10) are eligible to apply for MA programme. Aspirants further must have the relevant documents at the time of admission for verification.

Applicants with a three or four-year BSc degree in a relevant field from an accredited university or institute are eligible to apply for admission to the MSc course at IIT Mandi. The exact qualifying requirements are listed in the regulations that are periodically authorised by the institute's senate and released by the institute for admission in each year. Admission of the candidate further must be approved by the Chairperson, Senate and notified to the Senate.

For admission to an M.Tech course, the aspirant shall have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology or MSc or MCA with at least 60% aggregate in the relevant discipline from a recognised university. In addition, applicants with BE/ AMIE exam scores can also apply. Further, at the time of admission confirmation and form filling, the candidate must hold the important documents for verification purposes.
