For taking admission in the MCA course at Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education, Utkal University, candidates must appear for an online test conducted by the university itself. They must achieve a valid aggregate in the same. Additionally, they must also appear for an personal interview for final selection in the course. The admissions to this course are on first come and first serve basis.

The minimum marks required for admission to BCA programs are 50 percent in 12th in most of the colleges therefore, yes you can get an admission with this score. You may try applying to more private colleges because this mark may not be enough to get in to a government college, but it doesn't mean that you don't have to apply for government colleges.

It is quite uncommon to find a direct BCA (AI and ML or Deep Learning) course in Government University of Bihar especially since these specializations in BCA only take place at an increasing rate in the private institution or as a specialisation within the B.Tech. Nevertheless the government universities such as Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU), Patliputra University and Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU) do have general BCA programs through their affiliated colleges. Regarding MCA, Christ University (Central Campus) is often ranked higher in terms of the national ranking especially in the Computer applications. In 2025, Christ University was ranked 1 by the India Today in Computer Applications. NIRF overall rank of Manipal University Jaipur is also good (101150 overall in 2024) and the ranking is also good in Engineering. As far as placements are concerned, Christ University provides a median package of approximately INR 6.65 LPA and the maximum of INR 21.46 LPA to 2-year PG courses. Placements at Manipal University Jahipur are also good though average salary of all courses there is approximately 9
