No, students who want to take MCA admission at GITAM University Visakhapatnam need to sit and appear for entrance exam. Admission into MCA (Master Computer Applications) will be based on an All India GITAM Science Admission Test (GITAM GAT) conducted by GITAM University and the rule of reservation, wherever applicable.

No, calculator or any other electronic equipment such as mobile phones, pagers, etc. will not be allowed to carry to the NIMCET exam centre. Candidates need to report at the examination hall in the allotted test center with admit card before one hour as NIMCET is an online examination, the candidates are required to follow the instructions given at the test center for entry and allotment of terminal.

In order to apply for MCA course at GITAM University Visakhapatnam the candidate need to meet the last educational qualfication. Aspirants should pass BCA/Bachelor Degree in Computer Science Engineering or Equivalent Degree. The other eligibility criteria is mentioned in the points below:

  • Passed B.Sc/B.Com/B.A with Mathematics at 10+2 level or graduation level (with additional bridge Courses as per the norms of the concerned University)

No, there is no step marking in NIMCET. Each correctly answered question will be awarded full marks and each wrongly answered question will lead to 25% negative mark. The candidates are advised not to attempt such questions if they are not sure of the correct answer. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if a question is unanswered. More than one answer indicated against a question will be negatively marked. The candidates have to mark the responses as per the instructions appearing in the screen of NIMCET online examination.
