The cutoff is determined based on the number of applicants, the highest score, seat availability and more such factors. Hence, it varies every year. In 2023, the cutoff dropped from 550 in 2022 to 804 in 2023 for the General-All India category in the last round. The mentioned cutoff was released for admission through the IPU CET exam for MCA at IPU.

Over the last 6 months, DSEU campuses have organised more than 100 campus placement drives. In addition to this, DSEU also organised a 3-day Job Utsav in the month of May 2022 which more than 26 companies participated. A total of 1,600 students participated and 1,490 offers were rolled during DSEU placements 2022 (through a job fair). On the other hand, 2,553 offers were made during the campus placement session and 1,063 students were placed. IP University placements report is not available for the MCA placed candidates. As per the IPU USICT placement report, the average package offered as per a consolidated report was INR 12 LPA in 2022. In addition, the highest package offered was INR 45 LPA. The top companies that participate in its placements report are Amazon, Adobe, Rapido, TATA 1 mg, etc.
