A bachelor's degree in a related discipline, such as computer Science or information technology, or even certain Science or commerce programmes, depending on the university, is usually required to pursue an MCA degree.
Direct admission into a combined BCA-MCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications - Master of Computer Applications) programme following 10+2 may not always be possible, however it does happen occasionally.
