KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology is a private institute. It was established by the Somaiya Trust in 2001, and it is an autonomous institute affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The 85-acre Somaiya Ayurvihar complex, which also includes the K. J. Somaiya Hospital, Medical College, Cancer Research Centre, and K. J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy, is home to the KJ Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology. Overall, both KJSCEIT and VESIT are good engineering colleges. However, KJSCEIT has a slightly higher ranking and is autonomous, which gives it more flexibility in designing its curriculum and conducting examinations. VESIT, on the other hand, is affiliated to the University of Mumbai, which gives its students access to a wider range of courses and facilities.
