The university was established in 2018 and recognised by the UGC (University Grants Commission) and the Bar Council of India. It comes under the umbrella of the Mansarovar Group of Institutions in Bhopal.

A minimum of 60% on the X and XII examination, or an equivalent grade. In a three-year bachelor's programme, at least 55% of the marks, or an equivalent grade. Applicants must show up for SKILL-CAT.
You also have to appear for the SET exam that is the entrance exam for Symbiosis Indore, once you clear this test, you'll be up for admission.

You can apply for admission to Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences Indore for a B.Tech programme if you score in the top 75 percent of the JEE Main test. But in order to be eligible, you must also fulfill the following requirements.
- You must have passed the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam, with mathematics and physics required, as well as one of the following: biology, chemistry, biotechnology, or technical vocational.
- You must have received at least 45% (or 40% if you are a candidate from the SC/ST group) in all of the aforementioned topics combined.
