There are large number of colleges in India which impart degree of mining engineering. But, if you are not interested in giving JEE exam, then you might not get better streams (CS, mechanical, civil, etc.) in govt. institutions at lower rate. You may take admissions in any college but you have to take admission via management quota (which is very expensive)

It's indeed great to hear from you that you are interested in doing your engineering in mining branch. Mining perhaps has the best potential for employment in future. All the minerals that we extract, all the coal that we extract, all the oil extracted comes from mining activity. In future this activity is likely to be extended to the seabed also. There are also talks of mining on the lunar surface. All in all mining engineering branch appears to hold great future in times to come. Just have no worries.

The institute has not mentioned on its official website what all it offers in diploma course. I would advise you to contact the institute directly for the information.
