Please check for your eligibility to appear for the NET exam from the criteria mentioned below. Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks in their Masters degree exams (in streams such as Humanities, Social Science, Electronic Science, Computer Science & Applications, etc. ). From a UGC recognised college/ university fulfill UGC NET 2018 eligibility criteria. It may be noted minimum percentage required to meet UGC NET eligibility criteria for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories is 50%. Hello Shweta, Yes, you are eligible for the assistant professor post only through UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the assistant professor in national universities and junior research fellowship award. The eligibility for the UGC NET exam is as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have the master's degree/ post-graduation degree with 55% marks through recognised university. No, an undergraduate candidate is not eligible for UGC NET. A final year student of Master's Degree or passed out student whose result is still awaited is also eligible for UGC NET Exam.
