NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET exam is conducted to check the eligibility for the award of JRF or assistant professor in universities. The candidates who have completed the post-graduation with 55% marks can apply for the exam. The UGC NET Exam is conducted for various 84 subjects, while the CSIR NET Exam is conducted for Science stream subject as follows: Life Science, Physical Science, Mathematical Science, Earth Science and Chemical Science. As you have completed your M.Tech, you can apply for the CSIR NET Earth Science or Life Science subjects.
