let's take that you will give JEE after 2016 so board marks will not matter so you should get a minimum of 170 marks in JEE Mains

its luck by chance
but honestly say chances are very low to get admission in NIT
btw if u keep Patience's till spot round then u can get Nit for sure coz many seats get unreserved

Devoting one full year for competitive exam preparation has its own merits and demerits. Dropping a year means that you will get sufficient amount of time to prepare for competitive exams.
