Private universities are also established by passing an Act in state legislature and with UGC approval hence they are valid
However, private universities have very limited power while awarding their degree. For instances, if they award degree through distance learning, off campus and outside the campus where they have approval, such degrees are invalid. So you must ensure, you are pursuing such degrees from their campus only as mentioned in UGC website
Second, in India except very few, handful private universities rest all are disastrous and very poor in quality and more focussed on selling degrees
Now about admisison abroad like Harvard, Oxford mere graduation is not enough
Harvard need at least 4 years degree and in India anybody without work experience can pursue MBA however abroad, you must have at least 3 years work experience and except GMAT score, you need to prove that you really have interest and aptitude to pursue MBA.
