To be eligible for the admission applicants must fill out the basic eligibility criteria. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to UG courses is to pass Class 12 with a 45% aggregate and for admission to PG courses, the applicants must have a graduation degree with a 50% aggregate. Pillai College of Engineering admission process starts with registration and ends with the selection round. The selection criteria are entrance-based for all its courses. The college accepts entrance exam scores, followed by counselling for final seat allotment.

Admission is through state level counseling based on the rank obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHTCET) for the 65% of the total seats. 15% seats are reserved for all India candidates, these seats will be filled through CAP counselling based on the rank obtained in JEE-Mains.
