Political Science is the study of theory and practical issue of society and politics. It covers all the general topics about constitution, Human right, and traditional approach of politics.
Yes, it is possible to go into Political science course without being from Arts background. General Eligibility for joining BA in Political Science is having 50% in qualifying intermediate exam. There is no age limit for joining this course. For getting admission in this course, there are many colleges in India which give admission in this course. There are plethora of opportunities for a political science graduate in government sector. These include-
1) Professor - After competing BA in Political Science one can do MA in Political Science and apply for UGC NET ( National Eligibility Test) for assistant professor in any university across the country.
Apart from this, one can pursue B.Ed and become a teacher in a government school.

I would like to suggest you to opt for political science over history. Although history is also not a bad option but the way career in political science is increasing, it made me say this.
