Retail management is an integrated part of the supply chain management. A few years back, retail has been just the selling of goods in market places, stores, door-to-door and by hand delivery. But now, the trend has been changed in the retail market.
Now, the retail industries are establishing the network marketing by online shopping, through the websites and other technology, electronic payments and delivery through the courier and other services. Now, the retail management has come in the form of separate specialization.

Retail Industry is one of the fastest growing & challenging industries in the world & contributes the economic growth of the country. During the past few years in the retail sector, the demand for skilled professionals has increased. The retail management is the right career for those having the interest in merchandise, market & marketing, sales, advertising, campaigning and market research.
The Job opportunities are available in this field such as departmental stores, advertising agencies, supply chains, supermarkets, etc. Retailing involves a direct communication with the customer & coordinating the business activities. Those are specialists in retail management are known as Retail Managers.

Its facilities and its information resources and technologies will fully support its missions of teaching, scholarship, and community outreach and engagement.
Accreditation: Institution and university should be recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), a statutory body of the Government of India. Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Placement: Before choosing any institution to check the previous year records, which organizations visited for selecting freshman. Try to contact your seniors and ask about the placement, internship etc.
International experiences: International experiences are often a highlight of tertiary study, so be sure to find out whether the institution offers international exchange, study abroad and study tour opportunities or has an overseas campus. Offering a wide-ranging sporting and recreational programmes that caters to all Students regardless of age and background. Sports and Cultural activities exist at both recreational and competitive levels.Facilities: Institutions will differ with respect to the creature comforts on offer, such as sporting facilities, student residences, eateries, libraries and student study spaces. Size is the big determinant, with large campuses usually offering a variety of facilities to cater for all and smaller campuses often having a smaller range of more specialised facilities. You should also look at the facilities on offer in your field (such as an on-campus legal clinic or moot court for law students).
