SRM KTR Chennai is better as it has good infrastructure, professors with good teaching methodology, ranking and placements are also good.

It is totally up to you. CSE is easier as compared to ECE. Chose ECE only if you are interested in it.

The only problem is that you would not be able to get the complete refund.
You'll have to contact the admissions department to start the process for refund.

Yes, it is totally worth the effort as the infrastructure Ranking Professors Teaching methodology as well as placements are good.
