The admission is based on the cut-off marks. the cut-off marks are calculated as follows:
1) Divide maths mark by 2
2) Then add the marks of physics and chemistry. and divide the total by 4
3) Add the resulting marks.
4) Now you will get the marks out of 200. This is called cut off marks.
For each caste-like BC, MBC, etc., there are different cut-off marks. So your caste and the marks out-off 200 determine your admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges.

PSG Institute of Technology is one of the prestigious institutions in Tamil Nadu. So, the cut-off marks will be really high. It also depends on your caste.
The following link gives you the cut off marks caste wise for the last year (2016). This year the marks may go higher or lower by one mark:

You can apply for TNEA 2017 (single window counselling under Anna university) through www.annauniv.edu . And click TNEA 2017.
Then apply online by creating a profile for yourself in "online application".
Download the form in which your application number will be printed. Then send the form with all the enclosures mentioned (only which are applicable to you) and send to the address mentioned in the form.
Or if you are in Chennai, it is better to submit the form offline at the Guindy campus of Anna University (main campus).

Yes SSN College of Engineering is under the single window counselling under Anna University (TNEA 2017 counselling)
There is a management quota but if you go for management quota, then you need to apply separately and you have to clear an entrance exam.
This is only if you don't get SSN under Anna University.

The admission for Anna University and its affiliated colleges depends on your category. For every category, there is a particular cut-off marks.
PSG Institute Of Technology is one among the top 10 colleges under Anna University. And, it is very worthy to study there.
You need to have a cut off marks of atleast 190-195. Only then you may get PSG, Coimbatore.

The website to apply for single window counselling under Anna University is www.annauniv.edu. The last date for applying is May 31 and the last date for submission is June 3. The counselling starts from June 27.
First, entering into the website, click TNEA 2017. Then click online application. Read all the instructions.
Then create a profile for yourself. Then login into your account by following the same procedure.
Enter your personal details and after saving you cannot edit it.
Then, pay the fee. The fee differs from person to person and then, enter the academic details and submit. Then, you can save and download it.
