Yes, the University of San Francisco's six campuses provide a range of accommodations and housing facilities to all their international students. First-year students at USF can choose from the following residence halls: Fromm Hall, Gillson Hall, Hayes-Healy Hall and Toler Hall. The second year, continuing and transfer students can choose from these housing options: Lone Mountain North, Lone Mountain East, Loyola Village. Coming to the graduate students, they can reside in the following accommodations: Housing at St. Anne's, Fulton House and Fulton Flats. Single rooms as well as double rooms are available for the students at the University of San Francisco. The residence halls at USF have the following features:

• ADA compliant bathroom;
• Access to private bathroom;
• Placement to a specific building;
• Single room;
• Lower occupancy room;
• Reduced meal plan; and
• Service or Assistance Animal.

Yes, the University of San Francisco allows all international students to work while studying. If the students are enrolled at USF on an F-1 or J-1 visa, they may work up to:

• 20 hours per week while classes are in session;
• 35 hours per week during academic breaks, summer session, and winter intersession;
• 7.5 hours per day.

There are certain conditions listed below for international students to be eligible for student employment at USF. Each fall and spring semester, the students must be enrolled in at least:

• 12 units, if they are an undergraduate student;
• 6 units, if they are a graduate student;
• 8 units, if they are a law student.

Continuing students do not need to be enrolled during the summer semester to work on campus.

All the overseas students applying to the University of San Francisco must fulfill certain admission requirements in order to secure a spot in the university for their higher studies. These requirements comprise of:

• Application: Completed online application along with $55 application fee;
• High school transcripts: USF accepts unofficial transcripts as long as they are in PDF format and clearly show the candidate's full name, school's name, courses, and thei grades. Unreadable or illegible PDF documents will not be accepted at USF. If the candidate is admitted to USF and they choose to enroll, they’ll be asked to provide their official final transcript;
• Bachelor's and/or Masters' degrees from a regionally accredited institution: Candidates must provide a background of academic preparation and/or professional experience that demonstrates their ability to pursue graduate level programs;
• GPA requirements: Recommended GPA of 2.75 for MA and Credential applicants and recommended GPA of 3.0 from a graduate programme for Doctoral applicants;
• SAT/ACT scores: These standardized exam scores are not necessary for undergraduates;
• English proficiency exam scores: USF accepts all major English language exam scores from international student, ie; TOEFL, IELTS and Duolingo;
• Fall senior grades: If the candidate is applying Early Decision or Early Action and their application is deferred to Regular Decision, they will be required to submit their grades from their fall semester. If they’re applying Regular Decision, their fall senior grades aren’t required, but they are highly recommended;
• Extracurricular activities: Candidates must describe what they do outside of academics and how they're involved in their community;
• Academic requirements:
• English - 4 years
• Mathematics - 3 years
  • Engineering applicants are required to have completed precalculus
• Social Sciences: 3 years
• Lab Sciences: 2 years
  • Nursing applicants are required to have completed chemistry prior to applying for admission.
  • Biology or Physics (Only one of these courses needs to be completed. It will not increase your chances of being admitted if you have completed both.)
• Foreign Language: 2 years
