Students seeking admission to UMU BCom courses must do an eligibility check before applying. As per the official website, students who have completed Class 12 are eligible to apply for the courses.

Those who fail to fulfill the mentioned eligibility criteria are rejected at the application screening stage. Thus, students are advised to provide correct information.

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programmes of Usha Martin University must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. As per the official website, candidates seeking admission to the programme must have completed a bachelor's degree for a minimum of three years. Moreover, students belonging to the general category must have secured a minimum of 50% marks. Those who belong to reserved categories get a 5% relaxation.

UMU offers various specialisations under its BSc programme. Admissions to all the courses are made based on merit in Class 12. The eligibility criteria for all the BSc courses is Class 12 with science. Except for the Maths and Computing course, the eligibility criteria is 50% Class 12 with Maths. Masters of Business Administration is a two-year MBA Program offered by Usha Martin University. The eligibility criteria for MBA programme is to have a Bachelors degree in any specialization. Students from Science, Humanities and Commerce background are eligible. 

The eligibility criteria for the B.Tech program at Usha Martin University include the following requirements: 1. Students must have passed the qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. 2. For lateral entry into the B.Tech program, students with a B.Sc degree with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or an engineering diploma can apply, provided they secure at least 50% in their qualifying exam. The selection for MA courses will be based on the aggregate marks in graduation. Candidates on the merit list will be eligible to proceed with the Usha Martin University PG.

Finally, the admission of candidates will be finalised based on their merit in the qualifying exam, verification of documents at the university level, and payment of the UMU Ranchi fees.
