When filling the XAT application form, you will be required to fill fields such as academic scores, government ID number, date of birth, colleges details, etc. So, you need to have the relevant documents with you when you are filling the form. Given below is the list of documents required for XAT registration below:

  • Class 10 marksheet
  • Class 12 marksheet
  • Graduation marksheet
  • Email ID and mobile phone number
  • Date of Birth proof
  • Address proof
  • Aadhaar card
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Scanned digital photograph of less than 1 MB
  • Scanned signature of less than 1 MB
  • Debit/credit card for application fee payment

XAT application form filling process includes three steps – online registration, application form filling and payment of fees. Candidates have to complete all these three steps before the deadline to be eligible for appearing in the XAT exam. Check below a brief description of how to fill the XAT application form.

  • Log on to XAT website
  • Click on 'Registration' tab
  • Enter details like name, phone number, email ID, password and captcha code
  • The XAT ID and registration link will be shared in email ID
  • Click on the link to verify registration
  • Go to homepage and click on 'login'
  • Enter email ID and password

Candidates have to option to select two cities for allotment of XAT exam centre. The exam is held in 79 cities across India and you can choose any two cities as per your choice. While selecting the test cities for exam centre allotment, candidates must note the following:

  • Select your home city or the city of your current residence as your first city of preference.
  • Select the second city of preference as the one to which you can easily make arrangement of travel and stay in case you are allotted a centre there.

To edit information entered in the XAT application form, candidates need to choose the 'EDIT' option and click on save option to make changes. Candidates can choose 'EDIT' option only before submitting the XAT form not after that. Candidates must a take fresh print out of the duly filled XAT application form after modifying any details. There is no provision of form correction in XAT, unlike other MBA entrance exams where candidates are given a window of 2-3 days to edit their form, XAT has no such provision. On successful registration after clicking the 'Submit' button, an acknowledgement page will be generated with the “XAT Id”. This will be the confirmation that XAT registration has been done successfully submitted. Candidates must note down the XAT ID to use it to re-print the application form or future reference. 

Candidates can then login to fill the form and pay the fees. Once the XAT application form is submitted successfully, candidates will receive a notification in email and SMS. The dashboard will also show the duly filled application form which can be downloaded.
