XIMR is a premier Jesuit institute situated in the St. Xavier's College campus in Mumbai. It primarily focuses on learning and development of students through exposure to great learning material created within the country and globally. It has a distinguished set of faculty, both visiting and core. It has a functional computer lab, a well-equipped library, access to Xavier's gymkhana and canteen. If all this is what you are looking for then XIMR is the place to be.
MMS in any college in Bombay is a two-year's course. At the end of it you'll have a university-approved master's degree which is equivalent to an MBA, so it does largely seem worth the time.
Regarding placements, we witnessed a slow pickup than normal due to demonetization and early release of the budget, however, things picked up soon enough and placements are on with packages averaging Rs 4-5 lakhs per annum basis feedback from our seniors.

For Institute level seats, please call up the college once the CAP rounds start to know about the current year's process. Last year (2016), applications were taken telephonically once the MHCET results were declared and candidates were notified by the college of their interview details and procedures. However, to be on the safer side you should keep checking with the college then.
For minority seats, you'll have to fill in your DTE form with the required Minority details and submit the required documents. Once you are registered under the minority category there, the CAP rounds will take care of the procedure forward and the institute will fill their minority and CAP quota accordingly. However in case of insufficient applications, the college may also take minority applications offline like ILS, hence it is also better if you check with the college around then.
Please note XIMR considers only Roman Catholics for their minority admissions.

In order to get admission via the DTE CAP rounds, MHCET 2017 scores will be accepted.
More details about the procedure can be found on the DTE website as it changes marginally every year. You can submit your other exam scores through this application and the highest of those will be considered for seats other than CAP like Institute Level Seats or Minority Seats (For Catholics).
I am unsure about ATMA and CMAT scores cut offs as we currently don't have any candidate enrolled via that. But we do a student enrolled with MAT score in All India category. For more details on last year's CET cut offs kindly refer to the admission merit list on the XIMR website.
