At 82 percentile, I have to be honest with you, the chances are low. The usual cut-off is 95 percentile. Even for management seats, the cut-offs are high. However, there are some chances as the college might accept you if they are impressed during the interview.

With 85.28 percentile and 2 years of work experience, I would say that you have pretty good chances of getting admission at XIMR through the Catholics minority quota. There is no cut-offs for minority as such. There are 31 seats, and they are given on the basis of interviews and MH-CET merit. All the best!

Hi Supriya,
I can't really comment on the chances. We have had lower MH-CET scores getting admissions in the past. But everything depends on the scores the other Roman Catholic students that enroll for admission. However, you can try through your CMAT scores as well. The chances are good enough. So try and call up the college, and they will schedule an interview with you. There have been instances where a Catholic minority student with 65 percentile has secured admission. However, there is no cut offs for minority as such. The allocation of minority seats depend on interviews and MH-CET merit scores (as in what are the scores of others

Hi again,
As I wrote in my previous reply, I can't really say a lot about Chetana - I recommend you ask a campus rep from that college. Both are good. XIMR's MMS Finance course is good enough, but I won't call it one of the best. XIMR, however, does focus a lot on your learning. The professors are very strong with their understanding of the subject and are always available to answer doubts.

Hello Aishwarya.
I'm afraid I really don't know about how Chetana is. I know that both are good. I would rather go to the college and inquire personally. Look for information on the internet, but don't rely completely on them (quite often, fake info is published for promotions). At XIMR, the MMS course for finance is good enough. But I won't call it one of the best. NL Dalmia is very good for finance I know. One positive thing about XIMR is it focuses a lot on your learning and the finance professors are very strong with their understanding of the subject. Also, they are always available to answer doubts.
Hope this info helps.

Hi Pankaj,
I have to say I really can't say about this. I have been in a similar situation, but here is what I can tell you. If you have a 5-year work experience, then companies prefer you more and focus less on your academics. I don't think your pre-MBA grads will be a problem. What will matter more is your level of understanding in the MMS course. So I think you should not be worrying about that too much.

Hi Suresh,
The placements are good and are becoming stronger. The average package is around 4-5 lakhs. It goes as high as around 8 lakhs for Finance and Marketing. For HR, the average is around 3-4 lakhs.

Hi,
Yes. There is a good chance you can get admission in XIMR through minority quota. Minority quota is for Roman Catholics. There is no cut offs for minority as such. The allocation of minority seats depend on interviews and MH-CET merit scores (as in what are the scores of others who have applied through minority.) But people with around 80 percentile do get admission so I see no problem with you getting a seat. All the best!
