The college has a good infrastructure, including well-maintained classrooms, a huge library, and a canteen. The course curriculum is quite futuristic and provides progressive education training schemes through practical and theoretical knowledge of every phase of hotel, catering, and institutional management. The faculty members at D. Y. Patil SHTS are a nice blend of academically and professionally experienced people, which gives them a rich viewpoint that combines the practical with the theory. Students are provided with industry experience from the first year, and industrial visits are planned almost every month, giving each and every student a chance to show their talent.

The admission process is merit-based, and the final selection is based on the marks secured in the last qualifying examination. However, the minimum criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Science courses at the school typically require candidates to have passed Class XII (10+2) in any stream with a minimum of 50 percent marks. D Y Patil School of Hospitality and Tourism Studies offers BSc in Hospitality Studies and Culinary Studies, along with other diploma, certificate, and advanced certificate programs. On the other hand, IHM Delhi is a well-established central government institute known for its quality education in hotel management. To determine which is better for you, it is recommended to consider factors such as course structure, campus facilities, and placement records, and if possible, visit the campuses and speak to current students and alumni.

But the placements page for the Dr. D.Y. Patil Vidyapeeth mentions overall that a lot of students get placement opportunities from the univesity every year (for different courses and not just Ayurveda course students). And for all these students, the highest salary offered is Rs 10 Lacs per year. The salary packages however ranges from Rs 3 to Rs 10 Lacs for one year.
