A lot of the students do internships with NGOs, legal aid cells, or junior advocates just to get exposure.By second year, people start interning with law firms or in-house legal teams. The career development cell helps, but honestly, professors and seniors also give you contacts. It's a gradual build-up, so by the end of the degree, students have interned in multiple places and gained a good amount of experience and exposure.
