Therefore, prospective students may apply by submitting one of the above listed entrance exam scores. The school uses a holistic process when evaluating applicants and does not rely solely on any one exam to make admissions decisions.

Internships offered through GIBS are much more than temporary job placements; they also tend to function as a "first look" into what an intern's future career could look like through pre-placement offers (PPO). Each year, as a result of the many different factors related to internship placements, there will be different percentages of PPOs received by students. Typically, students who have performed well throughout the course of their internships will be offered PPOs by the same recruiters. Recruiters utilize internships as a means to evaluate the work ethic, culture fit, problem-solving skills and performance level of interns in order to select the most employable candidates before the year's end. Because of these reasons, students who demonstrate professionalism, positive engagement and strong job performance during their internship will be more likely to receive PTO from GIBS.

GIBS Business School provides new students with a variety of scholarships and financial aid opportunities based on their academic merit, performance on Entrance Exams (such as CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, GMAT) as well as Leadership Qualities, and Interview Performance. The purpose of these scholarships is to reward high achievers and to lessen the financial burden of Tuition. In addition to awarding merit-based scholarships, GIBS may also have a few categories for providing Special Assistance/Concessions (such as Fee Concessions or Fee Waivers) to certain economically deserving students or to students who have had an outstanding performance on one of the qualifying exams. However, the specific amounts and eligibility requirements for all scholarships as well as the deadlines for applications are subject to change each year, so we recommend checking with the Admissions Office of GIBS for the specifics about current scholarships available each year.

There is no minimum requirement for grades in finance courses that you must achieve while completing a bachelor's degree to qualify to apply for admission to the PGDM program, including finance specialization, at GIBS; instead, candidates who apply to the PGDM programme are assessed for eligibility based on their total grade point average for all courses taken during their degree programme and performance on an entrance exam.To qualify for admission to the PGDM program, applicants must have attained:At least 50% combined average grades from all subjects taken during their undergraduate studies from an accredited institution (45% for candidates from reserved categories, based on government guidelines); andA qualifying score from a recognised management entrance test (cat, mat, cmat, xat, ATMA etc.) or any other test accepted by GIBS as a measure of management aptitude. So, instead of saying "you need at least this level of finance course grade in order to be qualified, ” we are saying that what really matters is how many total course points you received while obtaining your bachelor's degree (50%) plus the results of your entrance exam plus your performance during the selection process (group discussion/personal interview). If you would like to know what the competitive score or percentile range would look like for PGDM finance at gibS, I would be happy to provide you with that information тоже!

The assignments and source material assigned from GIBS are an important part of the coursework and prepare students for future involvement in the industry. Prior to some classes but not all, faculty provide multiple areas of study to correspond with many aspects: Case studies, Research Articles, and Industry Publications/Reports. Students must acquire sufficient knowledge of the material prior to attending class, which allows for better participation and discussions with classmates regarding real-time business scenarios and how they fit into the overall business community. Therefore, this will lead to an increase in students' ability to critically think, communicate effectively, present, and build self-esteem. The combination of preparatory work with learning/assessments and in-class discussions enables Continuous, Practical, Continuous Learning at GIBS and in alignment/compatibility with Real World Business Settings.

While GIBS Business School does not have its own full-dual degree programme available on campus, there are still plenty of international exchange and global exposure options available for students through their various partnerships with other institutions around the world. For example, GIBS partners with the International Association of Educational Executives (IAEAEC) in Russia to provide students with academic exchanges, research projects, and cross-cultural learning opportunities. All these programs help students develop global perspectives, enhanced competencies, and access to international networks as part of their overall management coursework.

Generally, GIBS Business School does not impose a minimum cutoff on the CAT (Common Admission Test) sections when completing a student's admission decision. GIBS considers CAT scores in relation to the entire profile of a candidate, considering the overall CAT scoring percentile and overall profile rather than imposing strict criterion regarding the section scores of the CAT (e.g., VARC, DILR, QA).GIBS takes a holistic view in evaluating applications for admission, as the score from the entrance exam is only one of the items to be considered in determining a student's overall merit. GIBS evaluates a candidate's overall profile, including academic record, entrance exam score, GD, PI and the strength of the complete profile for the purpose of selecting candidates for the shortlist and for future selection rounds. Therefore, even if your section scores are unbalanced, as long as your overall score and percentile are competitive, you may still be included in the shortlist and invited to the next stages of selection.
