Through various initiatives such as Global Immersion Programmes, students at GIBS Business School can gain exposure to international opportunities and develop a global mindset that will allow them to pursue successful career paths on the international stage. For example, through participation in Global Immersion Programmes, students have the opportunity to travel on international tours to places like Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai to visit local businesses, participate in workshops, attend guest speaker events, take part in sightseeing tours of historic sites and cultural landmarks, and visit local universities to gain an understanding of how business is conducted in other countries. The Global Immersion Programmes will provide GIBS students with a hands-on experience of how business is conducted around the world while also exposing them to a variety of cultures and educational viewpoints. GIBS also collaborates and engages with many international and other educational institutions. Some examples of these partnerships include universities in Lincoln, Malaysia; Lincoln College, USA; Nottingham University, UK; Putra Business School, Malaysia; and Stevenson University, USA.These partnerships provide opportunities for the exchange of students between the institutions, academic collaboration, and research ventures that cultivate educational and cultural perspectives. In addition, GIBS's recent collaborative agreements with institutions such as the European Global Institute of Innovation and Technology (EGIIT) in Malta and with global partners like Alba Graduate Business School have greatly enhanced opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, collaborative research projects, and experiential learning through cross-cultural interactions.

Internships offered through GIBS are much more than temporary job placements; they also tend to function as a "first look" into what an intern's future career could look like through pre-placement offers (PPO). Each year, as a result of the many different factors related to internship placements, there will be different percentages of PPOs received by students. Typically, students who have performed well throughout the course of their internships will be offered PPOs by the same recruiters. Recruiters utilize internships as a means to evaluate the work ethic, culture fit, problem-solving skills and performance level of interns in order to select the most employable candidates before the year's end. Because of these reasons, students who demonstrate professionalism, positive engagement and strong job performance during their internship will be more likely to receive PTO from GIBS.
