Along with entrance exams, they also look at your overall profile, communication skills, and interest in management, which makes the process fair and practical for students. That's one of the reasons GIBS is a good choice for students who want quality management education without unnecessary pressure.

GIBS doesn't judge you only on one exam score. Your interview, communication, confidence, and overall profile matter a lot. Many students in my batch didn't have very high CAT scores, but they still got in because they showed interest and clarity during the admission process. That's what I really like about GIBS — it's more about potential and attitude, not just numbers.

GIBS also provides a more structured ecosystem for exposure: PGDM/MBA-equivalent programme with dual specialisation, IRE School (innovation–research–entrepreneurship), value-added certifications, finishing school, and global immersion options, which together add more practical learning than a typical classroom-only MBA. IBMR Bangalore also offers MBA with industry tie-ups and placement support, but the available data on salaries, recruiter base, and add-on programs is relatively limited and usually appears a notch below what GIBS highlights for its flagship PGDM/MBA track. In short, if fees and location are similar and you want better placements plus stronger corporate exposure, GIBS is usually the safer and better bet; IBMR can be considered if it offers you a much lower fee, a preferred specialization, or a specific scholarship that improves your return on investment.

I personally got around 12 LPA in an MNC, and my friend Rohit got about 14.3 LPA, which was really motivating for all of us.So yeah, if you work hard and stay consistent, good packages are totally possible at GIBS, and placements feel real and achievable, not just on paper.

It doesn't feel crowded or stressful, and you actually enjoy spending time on campus. Then you have the modern labs and smart classrooms, which are very practical. Whether it's analytics, presentations, or group work, everything is set up in a professional way, so it feels more like a corporate environment than a classroom. What I personally like the most is the event-ready spaces. GIBS hosts so many sessions, conferences, TEDx talks, cultural events, and leadership programs, and the campus is designed for that. Big auditoriums, open areas, and well-planned spaces make every event feel well-organized and premium.Overall, it's the combination that stands out — greenery for peace, modern infrastructure for learning, and event spaces that match the kind of exposure GIBS gives its students.
