Generally, if you have around 60–70 percentile in CAT, 60–65+ in MAT, or 70+ in CMAT, you're comfortable for the PGDM/MBA process. They also look at your overall profile, communication, academics, and how you perform in the interview. So even if your score is a bit lower, you still have a good chance if the rest of your profile is strong. Overall, the cutoffs are quite student-friendly and give everyone a fair opportunity.

The MBA/PGDM batches at GIBS stand out because of the strong diversity in which it harnesses together students from diverse academic, professional, cultural, and geographic backgrounds. This diversity is encouraged and factored into the selection process of the program. From an academic standpoint, the eclectic mix of graduates hails from heterogeneous disciplines: engineering, IT, commerce, arts, and other non-business streams. Therefore, the variegated thoughts and perspectives build a strong base for learning. The course has a mix of fresh graduates and candidates having 0-5 years of experience; professional experience is considered among the overall evaluation criteria.GIBS encourages a balanced mix while maintaining gender diversity. Further, it gets students from different states of the country to provide a vibrant multicultural atmosphere with significant peer learning and networking. With the availability of dual specializations such as Marketing & Business Analytics or Finance & FinTech, this cohort highlights diverse career interest and professional aspirations of the students. The institute encourages an entrepreneurial mindset among its students and, therefore, it attracts those who are keen on innovation and venture creation in times to come. In all, the class profile represents the holistic mix of backgrounds and aspirations, laying the foundation for a dynamic environment that prepares students to excel in global management roles.
