Yes, candidates can definitely apply to GIBS Bangalore solely on the basis of their MAT scores. The institute accepts national-level entrance exams like MAT, CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, and GMAT for admission into its PGDM programme. While MAT is considered one of the commonly used scorecards, a good score only qualifies you for the next stage in the selection process. After submission of the MAT score, candidates have to undergo group discussions and personal interviews. The final admission decision will be entirely made based on overall performance and not just by the exam score. Hence, while MAT alone may be sufficient to apply, communication skills, academic records, and personality also play a major role in the final selection.

GIBS, Bangalore differs from any other PGDM/MBA college by way of its emphasis on experiential learning, holistic development, and innovation-driven education. Some of its unique offerings are the Innovation, Research, and Entrepreneurship School and the specialised PGP-IRE programme targeted at developing entrepreneurial thinking through mentorship, workshops, and incubation. GIBS also has a dedicated "finishing school," the Certified in Personal Mastery Program, oriented toward soft skills, communication, emotional intelligence, and overall personality enhancement. The institute follows an experiential "Learning by Doing" model. Practical learning, coupled with fieldwork and theory, provides extensive hands-on exposure to students. Furthermore, GIBS comprises various internal specialised schools like the School of Artificial Intelligence and the School of Happiness and Mindfulness for their technical proficiency along with developing emotional intelligence among the students. Due to its strong corporate connections, its "Corporate is Customer" approach, and connecting with 600+ recruiters, GIBS provides top-notch opportunities for internship and placements. Global immersion programs and academic collaborations in the international arena further strengthen the global business perspective that students may gain during their course of studies.

Honestly the admission process at GIBS is not complicated at all. When I applied, it was basically like this: first you fill out the application (online is the easiest), attach your academic documents and entrance score if you're going for PGD Honestly the admission process at GIBS is not complicated at all. When I applied, it was basically like this: first you fill out the application (online is the easiest), attach your academic documents and entrance score if you're going for PGDM/MBA. For BBA it's even more chill — no entrance score headache. After that they scheduled my interview. I was expecting some stressful GD/PI vibe but it was more like a normal conversation about why I want to do PGDM, which specialisation I'm leaning towards, what I've done in college, etc. For BBA it's even simpler, they mostly check your interest and basic communication.Once the interview was done, they sent the selection mail and offer. I paid the registration amount to block the seat and then completed the remaining paperwork during reporting. The best part for me was that GIBS team kept updating everything—no random confusion or running behind people for follow-ups. Compared to other colleges, the whole process felt more student-friendly and transparent. Overall, from application to joining, it's pretty smooth and not intimidating at all.

Yes, having 70% in class 12th will not be a barrier for applying to GIBS Bangalore in the PGDM programme, because: GIBS requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% to be eligible for PGDM. There is no minimum class 12 percentage requirement mentioned on the GIBS eligibility page for PGDM; rather, their criteria are focused on graduation marks. The selection depends more upon your entrance exam score, GD/PI performance, academic record, and overall profile.
