To qualify for admission into GIBS Business School's BBA or PGDM programs, students must satisfy the following eligibility requirements: Eligibility to enter the BBA Program Completed and passed (the 10+2 or equivalent), or similar, with an average of at least 45% to 50% (varies by category). There is no subject requirement per se; students can present any number of marks from 3 different subject areas; sciences, commerce and humanities, etc. Eligibility to enter the PGDM (or MBA) Program Completed/Pass Degree (Bachelor) from a recognised University in any field. A minimum average of 45% to 50%, or similar. Pass a (or have the necessary score/validity) to qualify for any of the accepted Management entrance exams; including, but not limited to, CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA or GMAT. Final year students must complete their degrees before the start of the programme year and must have submitted copies of required documentation (via proper channels) before the start of the programme year. Overall, the above criteria provide a benchmark for prospective BBA or PGDM students to prove that they possess adequate academic and other qualifications prior to beginning these two programs. The GIBS Business School has recently reported excellent industry participation during its last scheduled placement season. Over 230 recruiters arrived on the GIBS campus to recruit students for their final placements and approximately 80-90 companies were active in recruiting those individuals for their summer internships. Through a successful entrepreneurial ecosystem on the GIBS campus, approximately 30-32 student startups were recorded. All these numbers indicate GIBS has a large pool of potential recruiters available and a lot of student activity within the entrepreneurial sector towards employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.

GIBS regularly invites visiting instructors, experts from different industries and two corporate leaders every week to participate in the GIBS Learning Model, as well as the Multiple Real-World Business Methods.These meetings are held approximately every two weeks as part of a comprehensive set of value-added activities such as workshops, industrial site visits, and placement-related programs that have been arranged with various corporate partners.The Purpose of These Types of Guest Lectures:To provide students with insight into how an actual business operates by being able to hear from professionals who operate real businesses on a daily basis.To help students make the connection between what they have learned in the classroom and the actual application of those concepts in the industry.To help students prepare for their upcoming job placement opportunities by giving them firsthand knowledge of current employment trends, case studies, and how the companies they plan to work for expect their employees to act.GIBS usually holds a corporate or outside guest lecture at least one time per week, so guest lectures and events at GIBS are generally scheduled as part of the normal academic calendar, not as a few separate events.

The faculty provide research opportunities for GIBS Business School students by involving them in innovative, research-oriented and entrepreneurial projects as part of the curriculum through taking part in a Research School. This school offers students structured research activities, workshops, and live project work all of which are located under the IRE School. Faculty and industry experts guide students in their execution of these projects and evaluate student performance based on the research, innovative, prototype or business plan that they produce in connection with these projects.Students are also provided opportunities to conduct research during their internship and academic assignments by designing, developing, and submitting a faculty-supervised report that provides a detailed analysis of a particular business problem. This process enables students to develop their problem solving, analytical thinking and employability skills prior to graduation by allowing them to have a sound basis of practical research experience.

The overall feedback on campus life regarding GIBS Business School seems to have a mix of both positive and negative views - it appears that the individual experience of each student and their expectation makes a big impact on their view of the campus/hostel and how they rate their experience at GIBS.The positive comments from students generally refer to: Many of the students who review the campus share that they find it supportive, comfortable as well as have great accommodations that make them feel like it is their "home away from home" this includes their furnished rooms (style, security), the way the common spaces are set up, etc. Many of the students talk about how living in a dorm type setting has helped them gain independence, problem-solving abilities, develop emotional resilience while living with other students from different cultures/ethnic backgrounds. Several of the students commenting online commented on the "chilled" atmosphere (i.e., supportive staff, modern classrooms) with the involvement (i.e., clubs, festivals, and sports) of others in creating an engaged campus environment.Concerns: Based on some of the discussion messages from students who post on the internet, it appears that the student experiences have greatly varied and some of the students have suggested that students should carefully evaluate their options prior to selecting GIBS as their college of choice.Many of the students who discussed their experiences commented that their outcome (i.e., placement, overall satisfaction) was a function of the individual student's effort and expectations. Those students looking for a close-knit campus, hostel-type accommodations, and practical activities to be a part of will have a positive experience and the other students recommended that students should carefully evaluate their college of choice and validate the information about GIBS prior to enrolling at GIBS.
