The situation at Government Engineering College, Bhuj is fairly competitive in getting in. It mainly uses the GUJCET or JEE Main scores. Although it needs a good rank (e.g. GUJCET ranks 30,000s in major streams, JEE Main 90,000s), it is not as competitive as the top-national institutes. It is a government college, which is affordable hence there is decent competition, and the fact that it does well in the entrance tests means that it is the education that one can certainly aim to acquire.Admission to Government engineering college, Bhuj is mildly competitive. It mainly depends on GUJCET or JEE Main marks. One needs a good rank (e.g., GUJCET closing ranks in core branches are trending in the 30,000s, and JEE Main ignoring the All India Quota can exceed 900,000); it is not as competitive as the national best institutes. This college is affordable and one of the government colleges and as a result, there is good competition but one can hope to get an admission who performs well in the entrance exams.

The Government Engineering College, Bhuj does not have any admission criteria of its own. Rather, the admission into B.E./B.Tech is mainly in a centralized processby the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat. The defining requirements are that of passing 10+2 (PCM) with at least 45 percent marks (general) and 40 percent marks (reserved), and that of obtaining through GUJCET or JEE Main a valid rank at least. Applicants will then need to get involved in the online counselling of ACPC that includes registrations, document verification, filling of the choice and assigning the seats as per merit and as per the reserves.
