Yes MA students too get placed from colleges if you join an enterprising college. Like I know of LPU which sends its students of MA English as free lancers and allows them to start writing papers in reputed journal. It helps them to work as freelancers. LPU has its own editorial board.
It gives large concessions to its students of masters to pursue Phd so that they can make a successful career in the academics.
LPU also offers many scholarships to ease education. LPU is offering an online (remote) counseling/admissions process during the COVID-19 pandemic national lock-down period. Measures have also been undertaken to support prospective students (candidates) to apply for admissions in different programmes:
So masters is a good option and if you add it with a Phd it would enhance your career to be a professor in a university .

The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best academic/elective subjects. The applicants must have studied and passed Mathematics at the qualifying exam for admission to B.A. (Honours) in Economics. B.A. (Hons) Econocims eligibility criteria is also given below. Educational qualification : Intermediate Examination (or Pre-medical Examination in case of Science courses) of an Indian University/ Board or an examination recognised as equivalent. 55% marks in the aggregate of three subjects including Physics, Chemistry and also Mathematics (for admission to B.Sc.
