To get admission to IIT Ropar the candidates have to take the GATE exam and clear it. GATE is a national-level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate engineering programmes at IIT Ropar. GATE exam is used as a selection criteria for admission to the MTech programme at IIT Ropar. To be eligible for the GATE exam the aspring candidate need a minimum of 60% aggregate in their graduation.
