As per the Eligibility Criteria, an applicant must have a Bachelors degree (of at least 3-year duration) in any discipline and have passed the 12th standard examination with Mathematics as a subject.
Selection of candidates to this programme will be based on performance in written tests and subsequent interview. The written admission tests will comprise multiple-choice and short answer type questions in both Economics and Mathematics at the undergraduate level.

I'll prefer to opt for the Indian Statistical Institute as in this course, you can easily get a good reputed job in any part of the world but this is not that much true for the IITs.
