Obviously, there can't be everything good about either of the institutions. Both of these technical colleges have good faculty members, good student atmosphere. It depends on how you look ATIT. These technical institutes aim at making you a good engineer. It depends on how much you are willing to co-operate with them and how much faith and trust you are going to show them towards achievement of your goal. Basically, in terms of college infrastructure and facilities, I guess Heritage Institute of Technology is far ahead of many other popular colleges in Kolkata. In terms of placement, I feel IEM is a little ahead of what we have in our College. In terms of discipline, which we all have had in our school lives, IEM is just the continuation to that with college dress on and punctuality. In terms of extra curricular activities, here at Heritage we have far more opportunities than IEM. Summing up things at the end would definitely help you choose your desired college. If you wish to continue with your school lives for the next four years of your college life, IEM would definitely be a choice. If you want to do something exciting apart from studies also, Heritage would be surest of options. In future, if you ever feel tired of engineering you could start preparing for CAT GMAT and other stuffs only if you didn't have a school-like life. Definitely, if you consider the students in both of these colleges, they have the same standard and way of thinking. It's not that you are segregated from a batch of good learning students if you are in Heritage Institute. I hope you make a choice that would definitely help you in future.

Unfortunately, without any entrance exam I am afraid you can't get admission in reputed colleges. Let me suggest the good ones which I can.

Hello,
The placements are mediocre with mediocre packages. Everyone will get placed but type of roles will not be so good.

Hello Souvik,
The management quota in invariably all the institutes or colleges is defined by most opacity. It is not known clearly as to how much fees do they charge or what are the criteria for giving admissions. Of course the student has to have minimum standards prescribed by the concerned University to get admission but beyond this nothing is known. It is therefore advised that you go with an open mind and take along with you, your best negotiator friend so that he can bargain well with the institute for reducing your fees to the maximum level possible. Best wishes to you.

For getting admission into any MBA college, you need to have 50% aggregate in your graduation but you have 49.56%. So, I guess you will not be eligible to apply for the exam.
