To apply for a B.E. or B.Tech course at Kingston Engineering College (Vellore), here's what you need to do:You must obviously pass 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, scoring a minimum around 45–50%, depending on category – general candidates need about 50% and reserved category students get a small relaxation .Admission is done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) process, conducted by Anna University. You'll need to register on TNEA portal, and fill in your 12th marks, and you have to choose Kingston Engineering College using its designated code during counseling . Make sure the code is right. After getting a seat allotment, you'll have to verify your documents (mark sheets, nativity/community certificates, etc.), then pay the fees, and then report to the college so as to confirm your admission .That's about it — meet the eligibility, apply via TNEA, also attend counseling, and complete the verification and fee payment to finally secure your seat.

{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}Is B.E./B.Tech at Kingston Engineering College worth the investment? Based on student reviews and feedback, here's a summary of what they had to say:Placement Record: While the college claims to have a decent placement record, the reality is that only around 45% of students get placed. The highest salary package offered is around 12 LPA, while the average salary range is between 5-6 LPA.Top Recruiters: Companies like TCS, Zoho, and Tech Mahindra visit the campus for placements, although the majority of students get placed in IT firms.Internship Opportunities: Fewer students get internships, and these opportunities may not always be related to their core field.Infrastructure and Facilities: The college has good infrastructure, including well-maintained labs, a library, and hostels. However, Wi-Fi is only available in limited areas, and mobile phones are not allowed on campus.Teaching Quality: Some students praised the teaching quality, saying that teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. Others found the teaching quality inconsistent, with some teachers being more effective than others.Curriculum Relevance: Many students felt that the course curriculum could be improved, making students more industry-ready. Some departments reported a gap between theory and practice. In conclusion, while Kingston Engineering College has some positive aspects, such as a relatively good infrastructure and placement record, the overall experience seems to be mixed. Prospective students should weigh these factors carefully before investing in the program. Here are some key takeaways:* Placement rates are not exceptional (around 45%)* Limited internship opportunities exist* Infrastructure and facilities are generally good* Teaching quality varies among faculty members* Curriculum relevance could be improved
