Hi,
I think B.Sc IT students can get admission for computer science, but the only key note is CS. It is much more technical than IT. If you want to go for MSc , go for MCA, MS abroad, MBA IT, M.Sc IT.

Most of the colleges don't mind whether you have gap in a year or not but still contact the admission department of the college you want to apply to and get details about the eligibility criteria.
