Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC), Puducherry, is a state-funded engineering college founded in 1984. Admission is offered for Bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs in various branches. PEC Puducherry admission for UG courses is completed through the Centralised Admission Committee CENTAC on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The duration of the course is 4 years.
1- First, appear in the JEE Mains examination.
2- One must go through the CENTAC application procedure after receiving a valid scorecard.
3- Fill up the CENTAC application form online along with uploading the necessary documents.

Yes, you can change your branch from mechanical engineering to computer Science engineering at the end of your first year if your first year results are good enough. Students who have passed in all subjects of first year of the academic year 2019-20alone are eligible to apply for branch change. A student can submit only one application. Students who have applied for revaluation should submit their application only with revaluation result. The application along with 1stand 2ndsemester mark sheets and undertaking-Should be submitted in person to Mr. N. Balou, Assistant of academic section
The application should contain the signature of the student and one parent/local guardian. Failure to adhere to this condition would result in summery rejection of the application.
8. Merit list would be drawn based on CGPA in the descending order. Counseling would be held for branch change. During counseling the student should be present with one parent/local guardian. If for any reason the parent cannot be present on the date of counseling an under taking-IIdully signed by the parent / local guardian in the format available in the website should be submitted.
