For reserved category students, the admission criteria for Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma.) at PSG College of Pharmacy is as follows:- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes must have obtained not less than 35% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology or Mathematics.- Candidates should have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the admitting year.- The candidates who have passed any qualifying examination other than the Higher Secondary Course Examination conducted by the Government of Tamil Nadu shall submit the eligibility certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University.

The college has well-equipped laboratories and is located adjacent to the PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research. The Pharm.D. programme is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. The programme is designed to provide students with the knowledge and clinical skills to become authoritative sources of drug information for physicians, nurses, and patients. Eligibility for the programme includes a pass in 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, a pass in D.Pharm course, or any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. To get a seat in PSG College of Pharmacy for Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.), candidates must meet the eligibility criteria, which includes passing 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology, or passing D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India. Admission takes place as per the directions given by the Medical University and DME, Chennai. Candidates must pass 12th Standard examinations (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English) in the academic stream only. The admission procedure starts after +2 results in May for B. Pharm and Pharm. D, and after B. Pharm results are announced in September for M. Pharm and Pharm. D (PB). The duration of the academic year is one year (12 months), with not less than 220 working days. The college follows a semester pattern for students admitted from the academic year 2017-18 onwards.

Alternatively, they can have a pass in D.Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, or any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Admission for Pharm.D Program will take place as per the directions given by Medical University and DME, Chennai. The candidate should have passing 12th Standard examinations (with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English) (ACADEMIC STREAM ONLY). The admission procedure for Pharm.D starts after +2 results in the month of May. The duration of an academic year is One year (12 months) and each academic year consists of not less than 220 working days (Non Semester system).
