If you say you have failed in AME, then obviously you are not eligible to even appear for license exam of DGCA. So, obtaining license is further away. First, you will have to pass your AME and then appear for DGCA licensing examination to get a license. Best wishes to you.

There is no criteria for the physical eligibility in aircraft maintenance engineering. Even I'm interested in that and I'm pursuing aeronautical engineering from NMIT, Bangalore.

You can definitely become even after aircraft maintenance course but for that you will have to do CPL training also.
Aircraft Maintenance will make you an aircraft technician and not a pilot.

You should although have passed class 12 with PCM 50% marks to go for CPL Training.
The aviation maintenance course will hold no good there. It will only add to your additional qualification and will find a place in your Resume.

If you study aerospace from IITs or IISc then you will have good scope but if you study it from a private college then the value will be less.

Hello Adinath,For entry into a college for AME normally there is no entrance exam. Admissions are based on marks obtained in 12th or in some cases diploma.
