Under the impression that an 84.79 percentile in MHT CET would be competitive enough for admission to SPIT B.Tech in Data Science. In general, the cutoff for Data Science tends to be high because it is popular among all the courses available in a well-renowned institute like SPIT.However, points worth consideration include:Category: If you belong to a reserved category, i.e., SC/ST/OBC, the cut off may be lower.Cutoff trends: Historically and based on previous year's data, it indicates that the overall cutoff, general, for B.Tech courses like Computer Science, Data Science, and IT in SPIT has always been over 90 percentile.College's reputation: SPIT is quite popular and sought after for this particular course, meaning it also makes the competition tougher. Conclusion :- General category :- 84.79 percentile does not directly justify admission into the B.Tech Data Science programme because the cutoff is mostly higher. Reserved categories :- If you're part of the reserved category, you might have a better chance, but all depends on counseling and the number of seats available. One should stay updated by following official MHT CET counseling and SPIT admission updates for accurate information.

Pursuing M.Tech at Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) can be competitive but manageable with the right preparation. The primary requirement for admission is a valid GATE score, with higher scores being more competitive for popular branches. The difficulty of admission depends on the branch and the cut-off scores for that year.Once admitted, the M.Tech programme can be demanding with a mix of theoretical learning and practical projects, but SPIT is known for its solid faculty and research opportunities, making the experience worthwhile. If you're focused on your GATE preparation and have a strong academic record, pursuing M.Tech at SPIT can be a rewarding experience.
