The students pursuing a course from the institute are open to scholarships provided by the West Bengal Government. West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation provides Post-Matric Scholarships and Merit-cum-Means Scholarships. Scholarships will be provided to eligible students in order of merit and subject to the budgetary allocation provided by the State Government. For renewal, the applicant will be eligible for the scholarship if he/she has obtained 50% aggregate in his/ her previous examination.

SIT offers eight courses at UG and PG levels, including BBA, BCA, MBA, etc. The courses are offered through five colleges/ departments, namely College of Engineering & Management, College of Professional Studies, College of Hotel Management & Catering Technology, College of Computer Application and SIT Diploma College.
