The ranks change on an year to year basis and it depends on the number of counsellings too. You can check the previous year's ranks and take an idea.
The 1st shift starts at 8:30 and gets over at 12. You may have to stay after that if your teacher wants or if there is any guest lecture, else you can leave. The 2nd shift starts at 12 and gets over at 12:30. The timings may change in the next session.

Yes, there are a few seats available for the management quota too. I am not sure about the fees they ask for, you can call the college authorities and ask for the present fees.

IPU or IP is the same thing. It stands for Indraprastha University, so don't get confused as in some places it is written IPU and in some IP University.
For admission procedure, you can check their official website i.e. www.ipu.ac.in

For admission in any course of VIPS, you have to fill the CET form of IP University. The forms might be out by now and you can choose the course you want. There are many colleges of each and every course. The date of the CET would be given along with the form details and you can also check the syllabus for the course and study accordingly. It won't be much tough. For law, you have to focus on general knowledge, constitution, and some basic law points. English would be a subject too. Study well for that and you are sure to pass with a great score. On the basis of your score, you will get a rank and then the admission would be done rankwise. You can check the previous year's cutoffs to see which college you will probably land in. The admission procedure is now mostly online. When the counseling starts and the first cutoff is released, and you get the college you want, you can secure your seat or you can wait for the next counseling for your college. For securing the seat, you have to pay university fees. The latter part of the admission process would be done in the college itself where you will have to pay the remaining fees and submit your documents.
Hope this helps.

Hi, VIPS tries to get more and more companies every year, so that every student gets placed. The college even gets internships for students doing BCA and BJMC Law and BJMC. Placements are rather better, though even here most students choose to look for a job themselves. Companies that visit the campus are Airtel, NDTV, Zee, Mid-day for journalism students. The college doesn't own its own hostel which is one drawback but there surely are PGs/Flats (private) at a stone throw distance from the campus. As I said earlier that the region outside college is less safe, it all depends on you whether to go for PGs or not. Students from outer Delhi region have no choice but to stay in PGs or at a relative's place. The faculty at the Vivekanand Institute are senior professors, with high qualification and a lot of experience in their respective fields. Faculty members in all the departments are good, and dedicated. Many are friendly and understanding, many aren't. Professors often provide handouts so that students can study at home. You won't feel much of a difference at first between school and college due to the strictness for dress codes but you would surely sink in the environment later. All the best.

If you study according to the syllabus, it will be easy for you. It is average. Basic questions are asked, which are not too difficult.

The rank list is changed every year. However as I checked some last year's cut-offs the maximum range was under 500 so it would be safer to score under 500 rank.
Good luck.
