The main prerequisite in dropping into M.Tech Pulp and Paper courses and more so at IIT Roorkee in most cases is having a valid and good GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) score; not a JEE Advanced score. Typically, candidates in the general category with a desire of taking the M.Tech Pulp and Paper Technology course at IIT Roorkee require a competitive GATE score; an average score between 570-640 (judging by the trends in the past several years). Also, one should have a Bachelor qualification in any related field of engineering (such as Pulp and Paper or Chemical Engineering) with a minimum of 60 percent marks.

Radiology may be difficult because largely the Common Paramedical Entrance Test (CPET) is administered by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) to take paramedical Bachelors and Masters programs. Although ABVMU publishes general information bulletins and at times answer keys to the overall CPET, more often than not individual M.Sc. Radiology papers may not be so widely published.

If you're aiming for Optometry, look at other allied health Science colleges in Maharashtra. Most will need a valid MHT-CET score though.
