Galgotias University and Sharda University are all private college, which charge a hefty amount of money, but you'll definitely get good and competitive students along with lots of opportunities. Dropping is not a good decision always. Yes, it can turn out to be better but the chances are real low. Think about it and then go for dropping.

B.SC student,

Yes, definitely you are eligible to apply CPL after +2 with science stream. But, you need to have huge money.
In my opinion after +2, PPL is better. After doing this, go for CPL and Ground handling etc. All the Best.

Whichever UG course you pursue doesn't matter, as you want to appear for UPSC. Any UG pass out can appear for civil service examination. A person in my city was a B.Tech graduate and cleared preliminary and mains in one attempt. When he was asked the reason of his success, he told that he solved the previous year’s question papers of UPSC and read the current affairs of India everyday.

CAT Topper,

The CAT exam comprises of 3 sections and you are given strictly 1 hour for each section. Therefore there is no question of dividing time across sections. However, if you are enquiring about dividing time within each section, then I would suggest that it is important to divide equal time to all parts of the section and not miss out on say the last few questions of the paper because you took more time initially.
