Hello Shreya,
Difficulty of IPU CET (B Tech) is of normal level and if anyone who studies PCM well from NCERT 11 & 12th, then it will be quite easy.
But speed is the key factor. You have to be quite fast and smart enough while solving problems as questions are not that much tricky but they require bit of calculations that surely waste some time (Maths).
For Physics, if your concepts are clear and if you have solved the NCERT exercises well, then you will not face any difficulty.
For Chemistry, questions are directly asked from NCERT.
In short, NCERT is best for IPU CET and speed is the key. factor

Nothing can be predicted beforehand about the no. of questions and/or a score that can fetch you 99 percentile. Percentile is a relative term, which depends upon how the exam is, how the other test-takers have fared in it and how many easy-tricky-difficult questions you've attempted. So, since there isn't any fixed number, it can be anything between 45-70+ questions.
