Although it is not a mandate, however game design courses offer great combination of applications and animation could be one of them, hence the knowledge of animation is imperative. That is the reason that many institutes add basics of animation in the learning of game design.

Hi,
Do not worry. Yes, Masters is an added advantage for sure, but you are a degree and diploma holder. The main focus is in your programming skill. Rather than cramming another set of books, it would be better to polish your programming skills and enter the industry. AS far as Masters is concerned, you may do it side by side through correspondence. But, do this only if you are willing to.
