No, a BSc Nursing and an ANM are not equivalent. ANM, or Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery, is a Diploma programme that concentrates on educating nurses for positions as community health professionals. There are many tasks ANM nurses take on though not to mention main ones above offering primary health services to individuals or communities. They are trained in administration of drugs, dressing of wounds and also first aid.
